Leptospermum petersonii
Citrusy refreshing and bushy tea tree.
Lemon Tea Tree oil is calming and relaxing. Acting as an anti-depressive oil, its fresh and bright bushy lemon aroma can also help to clear and focus the mind. Lemon Tea Tree has a long history of use including the use of leaves for infections and troubled skin conditions. It is no surprise as this oil has anti-blemish, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-septic qualities much like its cousin Tea Tree.
A Little About The Farm
Grown naturally on the eastern coastline of Australia throughout New South Wales and Queensland, our Lemon Tea Tree oil comes from established crops within the Northern rivers region of New South Wales in lower Bundjalung country and the mid north coast on Biripi country. This fertile land is co-farmed with Lemon Myrtle trees and a herd of strong beef cattle. High rainfall in the area encourage strong regrowth year after year and contribute to the strong quality of the oil produced.
Distillation Method
This plantation is hand harvested, then distilled onsite using a purpose built system designed and constructed by Native Oils Australia. It uses on site catchment dam water that is cooled and returned at the end of the distillation process.
Reduces skin inflammation
Assists to lift depression
Less familiar than Australia’s famous Tea Tree oil and yet equally deserving, Lemon Tea Tree is a refreshing substitute for head lice treatment. Prominent in Citral and Citronellal which ward off bugs and insects, Lemon Tea Tree is found in many common household products. Beyond managing creepy crawlies, research has proven Lemon Tea Tree to have anti-septic benefits that assist with skin inflammations such as acne and blemishes. The unique balance of citronellal and citral alongside hints of pulegol and myrcene in Lemon Tea Tree can assist with mental wellbeing and create balance in the mind. Effective in calming thoughts, providing focus, reducing anxiety symptoms and lifting depression, Lemon Tea Tree is a popular oil with a wide array of uses.
