An oil, that although part of the Eucalyptus family, is vastly different to a typical medicinal smelling oil. This is due to its complex mixture of components such as limonene, neral and geranial. Still, it’s known for its anti-septic and anti-bacterial properties, and is used to purify and calm. It’s an odd eucalyptus as it’s low in cineole yet high in limonene which creates this beautiful unique Australian aroma. The ironbark tree is a prominent Aussie feature and this plantation has been crafted from wild standings.
A Little About The Farm
High up on the far north coast of Queensland in Djabuganjdji country, is a unique farm with Tea Tree, Palmarosa and trials of Ylang Ylang. It is co-farmed by a multi generational family who are experts in cropping and have worked with the team at Aussie Bush Aromas for many years. Wet tropical heat helps to encourage the high limonene values of this essential oil.
Distillation Method
This plantation is both hand and machine harvested, then distilled onsite using a purpose built system for over 10 years using on site dam and tank water that is cooled and returned at the end of the distillation process.

This strong scented essential oil is an excellent option for room sprays and deodorising. The main components of this oil include Citral (which is a combination of neral and geranial) and limonene which present in the sharp, lemony aroma. Unlike many Eucalyptus oils, this oil is significantly lower in alpha-pinene and 1.8-cineole so its benefits are better suited to anti-septic, anti-depressant and anti-fungal activities.
Limonene is commonly found in citrus fruit peels and is used globally to deter insects and bugs in natural repellents. Limonene is also a favourite for holistic applications and diffusing oils with high concentrations of limonene has been said to assist with cleansing, promoting calm, and when used in cosmetic products has an antioxidant effect.

Non toxic when diluted and used externally. Keep out of reach of children. Store below 30 degrees Celsius away from sunlight.

Laundry: Add 5-8 drops to a laundry liquid to remove musty odours
Kitchen: Add 8-10 drops to 100ml of water for a handy mould reducing bench spray
Bathroom: 1-2 drops in a palmful of olive oil for a refreshing antioxidant rich cleanser
Living Room: 4-5 drops in a small 100ml capacity diffuser to help centre and reduce anxiety
